In the Wake of COVID-19, CIL Holds Local Food Drive

Thursday, July 2, 2020

CIL recognizes the high level of food insecurities due to COVID-19 and wanted to give to the surrounding communities in need. To help those facing food insecurity in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, CIL held a food and personal care item drive supporting the Lawrence YMCA Food Pantry, partner of the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, Inc.

On Wednesday, June 24, contactless drive-by drop-off locations were set up at both the Andover and Tewksbury, MA, locations of CIL so employees working remotely could drop off food and other necessities. All they needed to do was pop their trunks and CIL's volunteers would unload the donated items. The Andover and Tewksbury locations also had dedicated donation spots set up for those essential workers that wished to donate. Employees were also able to make cash donations, which CIL matched dollar for dollar.
