ShareCustom Synthesis
Cambridge Isotope Laboratories, Inc. (CIL) has been synthesizing stable isotope-labeled compounds since 1981. We take great pride in providing you with high-quality products and excellent service for both catalog items and customized projects.
Our expert staff of chemists has been developing and executing synthetic pathways to amass an inventory over 8000 isotope labeled compounds. We have a dedicated custom synthesis team, state-of-the-art laboratories and an extensive library of synthetic routes at our fingertips. We synthesize over 800 compounds per year. No other company is more qualified for your custom projects.
We have thousands of labeled starting materials and intermediates in stock to synthesize the most intricate compounds. We may have that unique precursor required for your synthesis, which will give our chemists a head start on your custom synthesis and an expedited delivery.
Our Technical Services Department, comprised of PhD chemists, is available for confidential consultation for your custom requirements. Our senior chemists will investigate alternative compounds or labelings to fit your specific application or budget. We can work together with you to set the specifications for your product. We understand the need for confidentiality and will be pleased to discuss contractual agreements with our customers. During each step of the synthesis, we will keep you apprised of the progress of your projects.
When delivered to the customer, custom syntheses are supported by a comprehensive data package which typically includes a chromatographic assay for chemical purity (GC, HPLC, LC/MS), a measurement of enrichment (usually based on mass spectrometry or NMR), confirmation of identity (NMR or IR) and other analytical tests as appropriate.
