Immediate opportunity exists for an experienced EH&S professional with experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry to maintain CIL’s compliance with appropriate environmental, health and safety regulations, through the development of plans, execution of programs and auditing of results. The selected individual will execute company-wide environmental health and safety training and determine needs for new safety related programs. The individual will also serve as company liaison with external auditing bodies and service providers.
Position requires a BS in Safety Engineering/Science or Chemistry with a minimum of 5 years of related EH&S experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry. Must have working knowledge of EPA, MassDEPA, OSHA and other applicable MA state and federal regulations. Excellent communication skills are also required.
BS/MS SYNTHETIC ORGANIC CHEMIST
Utilizing synthetic chemistry knowledge and experience, perform the de novo synthesis and purification of a wide variety of isotopically labeled targets (13C, 15N, 18O and D isotopes) under the guidance of a Group Leader.
We are looking for qualified candidates who possess a BS in Chemistry plus 2 – 4 yrs. of related industry experience, or a MS in Organic Chemistry with 0 – 2 yrs. of related experience. Excellent communication skills & methodical lab technique are also required. GMP experience is a plus.
FORMULATIONS CHEMIST
CIL has an opening for a chemist with experience in the field of environmental analysis. The successful candidate will work in CIL’s formulation group, formulating isotopically labeled analytical standards used in EPA and related methods, carrying out quality control studies on prepared standards and reviewing analytical data. There may also be opportunities to work in related fields within the formulations group, such as the preparation of standards for neo-natal screening.
The position requires a BS in Chemistry with 5 years, or an MS with 3 – 5 years of related experience. Ideally candidates will have experience both using GC/MS and GC/ECD analytical instruments and analyzing data generated by these instruments. Experience with Excel worksheets generated from GC/MS and GC/ECD data would be an advantage.
SENIOR ORGANIC CHEMISTS
- We are currently seeking experienced organic synthetic chemists to join our Research Products team. Individuals will be responsible for the design, synthesis and purification of various stable isotope-labeled organic compounds. Successful candidates will possess excellent laboratory techniques, a broad knowledge of organic synthetic methods, strong analytical skills and a proficiency in chemical separation and identification of organic compounds.
- Positions require a PhD plus 0-5 years of post-doctorate work experience in organic chemistry and/or synthesis.
